  Getting to the resort is scenic drive for about a 15-minute scenic drive outside of Hanalei. The ocean view room actually has a view of the ocean, and is a short walk to the beach. The views of the mountains on the island are incredible. The room is nicely appointed, with a comfortable bed and lots of comfortable furniture. I was surprised to find that there are two bathrooms in our suite. Clearly I should read the description more carefully! The kitchen is a bit dated, but has everything one would need. There is no air conditioning, TV or phone, but I knew that coming in. I thought the lack of A/C was going to be an issue, but the three ceiling fans and constant breeze keeps the room comfortable. The only minor quibble I wold have is that the patio screen doors don't open and close very easily. Again, a minor issue, and I would highly recommend staying here, and would do so again myself in a heartbeat.

  Very nice place, if a little remote (fine by us: that's why we picked it). Very pretty views in all directions. Mountains, ocean, sunrise, sunset. Food at the restaurant was good, too. Pricey, but so was everywhere else. You get used to all the one lane bridges.

  From the very start, Holo Holo Charters was friendly and professional. Allen was a fantastic captain and Charlene was a sweet, friendly, and observant first mate. We had such a fun, safe time. As we left the bay, we saw sea turtles and possibly a shark fin. The swell was a bit high, so we couldn't snorkle. But the fun ride, beautiful scenery, and terrific crew made up for it. We did get to go into one cave. We didnt think the captain was going in, but last minute he did. We were all happily surprised and got wet. It was so fun! Allen and Charlene were so informative. We learned a lot about the area and sea life. At the end of the Napali Coast, we saw hundreds of dolphins. The Captain said he has never seen so many. He told us he was trained in how to treat the dolphins, so he went slowly through their pod as to not disturb them because they were resting. We decided to eat lunch there, so now we can say that we ate lunch with the dolphins! It was beyond amazing. On the way back, we got to look at the coast from a distance. The ride home was wavy and fun. When the crew found a baby bird, they went out of their way to rescue it. We did about all the tours in Kauai, and this one was our favorite by far. I highly highly recommend it!

  The 808 Homes team was able to find an Amazing beach house in Hanalei. Incredible value and knowledge of the Kauai!! Thanks so much for helping my family and I have an unforgettable vacation! We definitely plan to stay in another 808 Home for our next vacation! MAHALO!
